Thank the good Lord that a paederast, catamite pervert finally wants to see just punishment for sex offenders. I expect that he'll be reporting to the Morell plant in Austin MN (a legal distance from any schools, parks or libraries) where they can castrate him and then feed him to the pigs. Hooray!

This is what I wrote to Oprah, Bill O'Reilly, and John Walsh recently..

Dear Staff,

When did the Oprah Show turn into a staging area for hate-mongering and smear tactics? What happened to the all-American goodness, sweetness and mostly non-political stance that made the show so popular to begin with? Now Oprah has brought it upon herself to become a quasi-law enforcement brokering house?

You guys are opening yourselves for future LAWSUITS. I think media gets these "flavor of the year" high-moral-ground crusades where they lift a banner high and scream: "follow me!" into some chest-thumping teary-eyed rip into another "cause", that ultimely always just fizzles out (with a CLOSE eye on the rating all the while of course).

Where is your BALANCE? Where is any mention of all the ex-offenders that are COMPLYING, going through all the court-mandated sex counselling, obeying all the laws, and NEVER re-offending? Listening to your show, one would believe that offenders are roaming the streets of every city and town, rubbing their hands together with glee, picking and chosing their "next victim" with relish and no restraint at all.

NOTHING could be further from the truth! But buying into the hysteria from your smug, self-righteous show, one would believe just the opposite. Get some BALANCE! Stop adding fuel-to-the-fire of hate, fear and the rise of vigilantees that have ALREADY hunted and KILLED ex-offenders that were doing NOTHING wrong, except for the forced addmission of their faces and addresses on the Megan's Law "website of death".

Take some responsibiliy for the further mayhem your show is causing, if you have enough time after patting yourselves on the back all day long.

I find it amazing that you think John Walsh is a "flash in the pan" when it comes to this...he's been on his mission for well over a decade, with success mind you.

Yeah, there may be some people who harmed kids sexually who never do it again and are complying with their sentences. There are probably people who steal who fall into the same category. But the problem is THEY HARMED A CHILD SEXUALLY, ABUSIVELY and didn't consider the consequences at the time. And there are many that would repeat their crimes time and time again, if given the chance. Laws are meant to protect citizens from harm in ALL cases, ranging from the "least" harmful to the "most" harmful (they are all harmful, though, no matter how you cut it).

I personally applaud John Walsh, Bill O'Reilly and Oprah for their efforts in this arena. Children *should* be protected from harm and this is a vechicle bringing it to the public eye.
