Disposable Children?

I always look around the various news sites to see what the headlines are. Today there were a number of headlines that just screamed out to me.

Man Convicted for Drowning Children in Lake

Woman: I Slashed Baby's Throat for Revenge

Entwistle Pleads Not Guilty to Killing Wife, Baby

Babysitter with AIDS Appears in Court on New Charge

Ricky Holland's Parents to Stand Trial

Woman Charged in Newborn's Death Held on $3M Bond

Summarizing these articles: A man kills his girlfriend's three children by drowning them in a lake, a woman puts a baby face down in a snowdrift and slashes its throat to retaliate against its mother, a man pleads not guilty for killing his wife and less than one year old child, a babysitter with AIDS sexually molests the kids he babysits and possibly infects one of them with the disease, a baby's parents are charged with his murder and a woman is charged with killing her healthy newborn and dumping the body in a 55 gallon trash can.

...and it doesn't stop there. There are *dozens* of stories out there about parents killing their children, people killing other people's kids, babysitters harming the kids they are responsible for taking care of, and the reasons don't add up. Nor do the pleas. "I'm not guilty for killing those kids...I'm insane." "...this story about me sexually molesting these kids is b.s. (and so is the possibility that I may have infected them with AIDS)" "...I didn't do it...I found their bodies and decided to fly back to England because I'm sooo alone."

I know there have been stories like this for some time, but it seems as though we have been overwhelmed with one case after another where adults make the decision to harm or kill young kids. Do they think their lives are that meaningless and disposable? How does one get to point A to point B...like the decision to slice a baby's throat as revenge for getting kicked out (um, because the killer wasn't paying rent and was causing problems)?

I know that throughout the history of this blog I've raised all of these questions independent of one another. I can't help but see a very ugly trend here - kids seem to be expendable to these parents...to these babysitters and these "boyfriends" or "stepparents." Where the hell do they get the idea? How in the hell would they rationalize acting on it?

I'm sure it's because they are wired differently. There are many people in this world who are faced with almost cruel fate - unexpected deaths of family members, mental illness, poverty, abuse. But the majority choose to rise above it and, while struggling, still understand the sanctity of life. When I read these articles, the decisions these criminals made are a direct slap in the face of those who walked away versus acting on their heated emotions.

I may never fully understand the mindset of these murderers and life destroyers, but I do understand one thing. Regardless of their path to make the decision to murder, the punishment should fit the crime. A child murderer should never freely walk the streets again.

...just when I think I Can't Be Any More Appalled

Just when I think I've had a bad day, just when I think that I should go to bed and avoid life until tomorrow, I have to read this:

CLARENDON HILLS, Ill. -- An Illinois man accused of choking his 8-year-old daughter, stabbing her and attempting to drown her has been charged with her murder.

Neil Lofquist, 40, was ordered jailed without bond Tuesday.

Do you want to know what this evil human being did to his own daughter, all of eight years old? You likely do not want to know, but I need to tell you anyway.

Prosecutors said Lofquist attempted to strangle his daughter in her bedroom late Sunday while his wife was downstairs and his son was in bed. He then moved the girl to the bathroom, where he attempted to drown her in the toilet and stabbed her in the neck, prosecutors alleged.

And then the "poor guy" went to the hospital to attend *his* wounds. Then, and only then, did authorities get notified, who went to the home and couldn't revive the girl.

Hug your kids at least twice tonight and be thankful this bastard is behind bars.

Evil on Earth

This story comes by way of The Rott, yet another story of pure evil involving yet another sick bastard who thinks it is okay to abuse, then murder a child (Misha put together some excellent thoughts on the whole thing). My hubby knows this stuff gets me wound tight, but in this case I was actually going to avoid posting on it all together as there isn't much else that can be said but "fry the bastard." But as I stewed on it, I feel that isn't entirely true. Read on, especially if you are polishing your hand gun and live in Ohio:

WAYNESBURG - A Canton man has been charged with the rape and murder of a 7-month-old infant he was baby-sitting.

Police said Henry A. Sunderman, 32, of 3117 Tuscarawas St. W, Apt. A-3, in Canton, raped and killed his niece, Zoey Sunderman, on Friday. Sunderman was baby-sitting the girl, her two sisters and a brother.

Zoey was the youngest.

This bastard *raped* a 7-month-old baby...his NIECE. While 3 other children were present!!!

She was pronounced dead at Akron Children’s Hospital at 2:02 p.m. Friday. The Summit County medical examiner was doing an autopsy Saturday; it said the case was under investigation and did not release a cause of death. But Stark County Jail records said Sunderman admitted he had penetrated the baby’s anus with his finger, “causing severe tearing and trauma, resulting in the death of the victim.”

Amazingly enough, it was the rat bastard of a child molester who decided to call an ambulance, but it was too late. This little one was barely crawling, maybe standing and now she's gone.

I go back to my rants of posts past. Yeah, "Uncle" Henry admitted to doing this awful thing to this baby. But why would the mother of these children think it is okay to leave her darling children to babysit him when he has a criminal record including crimes of drunk driving, menacing, criminal damaging and endangering, domestic violence and solicitation charges (also five convictions for disorderly conduct by intoxication)? Just his record on intoxication would be enough for me to stay home or find another sitter. But throw in endangering and domestic violence and you've got your regular boogey man.

Don't misunderstand, I feel terrible that the mother lost her daughter and I cannot possibly fathom what she is going through because of her loss. But I can't help but think she knew this man was not the best caregiver for her children given his rap sheet. But she's apparently blinded to it as it seems to run in the family:

Court records show their father, Henry Sunderman’s brother, David, was sent to Lorain Correctional Institution on Feb. 27 for failing to comply with police and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination.

I can't help but wonder whether it's time for someone to get the rest of the kids out of that seemingly troubled situation and into a place that is safer.

For Uncle Henry? It's simple. Just before a full-on gunshot wound to the head, a nice, dull rusty knife to the man parts. This bastard doesn't deserve one more breath.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Comments Section

Last evening, LGF opened up the register to comment, and I managed to slip in. Normally, I just read the posts and skip the comments, now I'm glad I have an excuse to go in. That's where I found this.

The Last Warning To The American People

"Despite the fact that the New York, Washington, Madrid, and Londonexpeditions have been carried out a few years back. The search for clues on how they were conducted in such a successful manner is still going on and reports upon reports are still being written about them. However, the next expedition might not find someone who can provide analysis for. The top intellects, strategists, and analysts, will be totally clueless as to how to explain what occurred. Let me also inform you that we are talking about two operations, not one. The scale of one of them is larger than the other but both are large and significant. However, we will start with the smaller, and temporarily put the larger on hold to see how serious the Americans are about their lives. Should you value your own life and security, accept Muslims’ demands, but if you shall prefer death (over giving in to Muslims’ demands). Then, we, by the grace of Allah, are the best in bringing it (death) to your door steps.

Follow the link to read it all.

I did a Google News search and there is none, zero, mention of this in the media. The only other two hits I got were the SITE Institute and World Net Daily.

Whether this is a legitimate threat, or some jackoff spouting off, we need to get the word out anyway.

Thanks for keeping us informed, media.

He Truly Is a Monster

Charles Cullen was sentenced today to eleven consecutive life terms.

...one of the most prolific killers the U.S. health care industry has ever seen — escaped the death penalty after making a deal with prosecutors to tell them which patients he killed with hard-to-detect drug injections.

It's fascinating that a man who claims to have killed close to 40 people was sitting in front of the courtroom with a bulletproof vest on.

Cullen has admitted to using lethal doses of medications — usually the heart medication digoxin — to kill patients. He told authorities when he was arrested in 2003 that he killed "very sick" patients, and described the slayings as mercy killings.

Many of the deaths were not recognized as murders at the time, in part because many of the victims were old or sickly. Cullen was finally caught after officials at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville began noticing that patients who died or nearly did had unusually high levels of digoxin in their bodies.

Cullen agreed to help investigators solve his killings. In exchange, prosecutors in all seven counties where he worked agreed not to seek the death penalty.

Because of the frailties of his memory and imprecise — and in some cases, destroyed — medical records, it is unclear whether authorities have identified all of his victims. Investigations remain open in two New Jersey counties.

It's such a shame that the victims and their families have had to suffer through this disgusting man's idea of playing God. Many of the victims' family members wish that he could die the way his victims died - by lethal injection. No matter how much I'd like to see the same thing, I can't help but be thankful this exuse for a human being won't be able to inflict harm on anyone else.

Give Her A Shower Only, Please

Andrea Yates was moved to a mental hospital to await a 2nd trial for drowning her children.

Hopefully, it's one that still uses shock therapy and frontal lobotomies.

And that's just for her lame-ass, excuse making husband.

Getting her first conviction overturned may have seemed like a victory for the bad guys - er gals, but there is always the chance that the next jury won't be as sympathetic as the first was.

This second trial probably won't garner the widespread coverage of the first, although there's not telling for sure. But I hardly think that the Official Andrea Yates Support Group would have as much of an impact the second time around.

Not only that, the prosecution only charged her for the deaths of three of her children, they still retain the right to charge her for the other two.

Here's to hoping the next sentence is death by lethal injection.

"Tremendous Remorse?"

Paula Eleazar Mendez tells authorities that she smothered her three young children, between the ages of 6 and 8.

DE QUEEN, Ark. -- In Arkansas, authorities said a mother accused of smothering her three young children wrote notes that could help determine what led to the killings.

Her priest said the woman has expressed "tremendous remorse."

You know, remorse is fine if a crime was committed that didn't involve killing three children - especially your own. It's so nice that she is remorseful....la dee dah. Remorse won't change what she did...and it certainly won't bring her children back from the dead. She was so remorseful, she intended on poisoning herself so she wouldn't have to face up to the horrific crime she committed. Luckily that didn't work and now she'll have to serve her time, whatever that is.

I see an opening for "innocent for reasons of insanity" or some other "don't blame me" plea. Hers is a story that is eerily like the one of Andrea Yates - who hunted down and methodically drown her children. I don't see much difference here.

I know the three little children are in the arms of Jesus in Heaven and they no longer feel pain or fear. I pray for the rest of the family and those who were in their lives - that their hearts are not as heavy and they find the will to go on.

Satan's Minion

I have to say that I'm not speechless very often (ask anyone who knows me), but this story did it. Not for the weak-hearted and for those of you with children, you'll want to hug them extra tight.

NEW YORK (AP) - In the eyes of her stepfather, 7-year-old Nixzmary Brown was an out-of-control troublemaker. She stole money from her parents and broke her siblings' toys, she stole milk from a younger sibling and broke their computer printer, he said.

And when he found that she had gone into the refrigerator and taken a cup of yogurt she wasn't supposed to have, he flew into a rage.

Police say Cesar Rodriguez beat the little girl to death, then tossed her on the floor of what was known in the family's apartment as the "dirty room," a rodent-infested room where she had been tied up and left with only a litter box as a toilet.

There are only a few people in this world that I would classify as fully lacking a soul - this bastard would be one of them - and I'm pretty convinced that the mother is a close second.

Rodriguez, 27, and Nixzmary's mother, Nixzaliz Santiago, 27, are charged with multiple felony counts, including second-degree murder. Rodriguez also is accused of molesting Nixzmary and abusing her five siblings.

Both have pleaded not guilty.

NOT GUILTY? Assholes. Let's just draw this out because you have a little anger-control problem...your "emotions" get carried away. If I had any influence, I'd ask to serve justice myself and it would taste like lead.

There had been warning signs.

Last May, a guidance counselor at Nixzmary's school reported the child had missed 47 days of school. The city's Administration for Children's Services responded immediately but closed the case weeks later.

The agency failed to find "educational neglect when it was clear the girl had not been attending school," said ACS Commissioner John Mattingly.

They not only failed in their findings. They failed a now dead little girl.

An indictment alleges that, beginning on New Year's Day, Rodriguez used anything he could to subdue the little girl he described as "a handful," including a belt, a piece of wood, a bungee cord.

Authorities said he bought yogurt for his children but refused to give Nixzmary any.

On the night of Jan. 10, Nixzmary's mother discovered one of the yogurt cups was missing, and she went to Rodriguez. The frightened girl denied taking it, but one of the other children tattled, authorities say.

Later, Rodriguez discovered his computer printer was broken.

He stripped Nixzmary of her clothes and beat her in front of Santiago, Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes said.

He dragged her into the bathroom and repeatedly dunked her head under the cold water, and loud banging noises and screams of "Mommy" were heard throughout the apartment, authorities say. Rodriguez carried Nixzmary's limp body into the dirty room and tossed her to the floor, Hynes said.

I can't help but leave that exerpt in this post. I think people need to see this. So they keep the heat on these agencies who can't do their job and what the consequences are. So they can keep their ears and eyes open and protect little ones from abusive parents, caregivers, etc. So the next young girl can live and not get killed over a container of yogurt.

Before Nixzmary's little white coffin was laid to rest, the Rev. Robert O'Neil said her nightmare was finally over.

"Nixzmary is now surrounded by love, beyond the touch of evil," he said.

Poor Leslie Demeniuk

This is no mother:

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A mother is convicted in the slaying of her children.

After six days of testimony, a jury deliberated only about three hours before returning its verdict: Leslie Demeniuk is guilty of two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of her 4-year-old twin sons in 2001.

Prosecutor Noah McKinnon told the jury it was a brutal case of first-degree murder.

Mr. McKinnon is right. This woman shot both of her four year old boys. Nothing else but brutal could come close to describing it. The prosecutor stated that this woman looked her son in the eye, put the gun to his forehead and shot him. I call that calculated...the defense calls it insanity (emphasis mine).

The defense argued that alcohol mixed with antidepressants led to the shocking incident and that Demeniuk was delusional when she shot the boys. ::snip::

In his closing arguments defense attorney Bill Sheppard passionately disagreed with the prosecution, claiming that prescription drugs and alcohol mixed to cause Demeniuk to become temporarily insane.

"Why it happened was because Leslie Demeniuk did not know the difference between right and wrong at the precise moment that she pulled the trigger," Sheppard said.

"The only explanation for these hideous actions is that she thought she was saving her children. She was taking them to a better place," Sheppard said. "It was because of a total delusion."

You have got to be kidding. Reread that piece. This woman had four-year-old twin boys who she SHOT and killed - her own sons! The prosecution stated that she had been on phone calls prior to the murders and was anything but delusional or insane, which is why the defense came up with the "insane at the moment she pulled the trigger" bullshit.

The jury saw through the bullshit, they only deliberated three hours. This bitch is no victim. She slayed her kids...kids that had a full life ahead of them. If there is one saving grace, they are free from her...if she had it in her to kill her poor kids, I can't imagine what she did to them while they were still alive.

The MSM is not Biased in their Views!

I usually check the local news before work, mostly to see what the weather is like. But when I see a headline like this, I feel compelled to stop by and rant for just a minute:

"Senior Citizen Loses Bid to Avoid Execution"

You can't tell me the author of this story doesn't have bias one way or the other - I mean, c'mon! The senior citizen in question is Clarence Ray Allen, a 76-year-old who could be the oldest man to ever be executed in California. I guess the author has forgotten what Clarence Ray Allen is guilty of.

He was sentenced to death in 1980 for hiring a hit man who killed three people at a Fresno market. Allen already was serving a sentence for murder at the time the hit was ordered.

He had murdered someone, was serving a sentence, and then ordered a hit from his prison cell which caused the death of three additional people. Ah....this guy is just your normal grandfatherly type, right?

It's interesting that the news station where I got this story is running a poll to see how many people think this death row inmate should get his sentenced reduced to life (I mean after all the poor guy is a sick, elderly man and execution at this point would be inhumane) or whether the execution should take place. When I looked at the poll this morning, 83% of voters felt he should be executed for the crimes he committed. Surprise, surprise...yet another MSM author who doesn't have the pulse on readership. Go figure.

Update: So I come home from work to find they've changed the article's title to "76-Year-Old Man Faces Execution in California." Interesting how things change in a matter of hours. It doesn't mean they still aren't looking for our sympathy. The article references that his birthday was Monday (today?) and that he is legally blind, nearly deaf and in a wheelchair. What they fail to point out directly is that his victims aren't legally blind, nearly deaf and in a wheelchair...they are DEAD.

He Was Guilty

Roger Keith Coleman was executed in 1992 and up until his death claimed innocence regarding his conviction for raping and murdering his wife's sister.

The case has been watch closely because DNA testing was being done to confirm his guilt. Had the test results come back showing he did not perform these acts, it would have opened a flood-gate as it relates to capital punishment. The test results have come back and, indeed, they confirmed his guilt.

The tests, announced by the governor earlier this month, prove Roger Keith Coleman was guilty of the 1981 rape and murder of his sister-in-law, Gov. Mark R. Warner said.

Coleman was convicted and sentenced to death in 1982 for the murder of 19-year-old Wanda McCoy, his wife's sister, who was found raped, stabbed and nearly beheaded in her home in the coal mining town of Grundy.

The report from the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto concluded there was almost no conceivable doubt that Coleman was the source of the sperm found in the victim.

"The probability that a randomly selected individual unrelated to Roger Coleman would coincidentally share the observed DNA profile is estimated to be 1 in 19 million," the report said.

I'm satisfied with the results of the DNA testing in Coleman's case. I am a proponent of the death penalty. My support of the death penalty goes way back to my high school days on the debate team. Our debate coach would make us argue on the side we disagreed with in order to build strategy. It really only affirmed my support and belief in it. As the years have passed, and DNA tests and other tests have been able to bring forward more evidence, the death penalty seems even more relevant to me. Now the chances of convicting an innocent person are not as likely as they were in the past.

I've seen the legal wranglings over the years reduce the effectiveness of the death penalty as in many cases they are nothing more than life sentences on steriods. Appeal after appeal and after that years of waiting to actually carry out the sentence. It isn't the penalty itself that's flawed, it's the lack of carrying it out expeditiously that reduces its intended effect - deter criminals from performing such terrible acts.

Don't get me wrong. I believe that in such cases, an appeals process can and should be offered and in some cases, I could possibly be convinced that a life sentence may be fitting. But to see a criminal sentenced to death sit on death row for years and years and years is almost criminal itself. To the families impacted by their crimes, to the tax payer who is paying for their care and to the officer's who risk their lives managing within the prisons they reside.

James McCloskey, executive director of Centurion Ministries, had been fighting to prove Coleman's innocence since 1988. The two shared Coleman's final meal together — cold slices of pizza — just a few hours before Coleman was executed.

"I now know that I was wrong. Indeed, this is a bitter pill to swallow," McCloskey said, describing Thursday's findings as "a kick in the stomach" and adding that he felt betrayed by Coleman.

It's unfortunate, Mr. McCloskey, but murderers are typically pretty good liars, too.

Andrea Yates and Other Criminals

As I'm sure everyone has heard, Andrea Yates, who decided to meticulously drown all of her children is now pleading "innocent" by reason of insanity.

During her original trial, jurors rejected Yates' insanity defense and found her guilty for the 2001 deaths of three of the children drowned in the family bathtub: 7-year-old Noah, 5-year-old John and the youngest, 6-month-old Mary.

Evidence was presented about the drownings of the other two children — Paul, 3, and Luke, 2 — but Yates was not charged in their deaths.

Yates was convicted of two capital murder charges and sentenced to life in prison.

As I'm sure you heard that her original conviction was overturned and we now will start the circus all over again.  I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but AGAIN there's more worry about this less than human being than the 5 children - her OWN children - that she stalked, and methodically drown one-by-one.  Noah, John, Mary, Paul and Luke certainly have no say, do they?

I'm all for assuring this pig of a human being never sees the light of day, but it's a tragedy that this has to play out again and will be "media'd" into the ground.  We will hear it over and over...but will it be about the kids she slaughtered?  NO...it will be about poor Andrea Yates.

Just when I think I can't be disgusted any more, my hubby throws this link over my way:

Omaha police said a 4-week-old girl was treated Friday at Creighton University Medical Center for multiple fractures to both of her legs.

The media, in all of their brilliance, report that it appears to be abuse.  No, really?  I thought maybe she played a spirited game of rugby and suffered a bit of a fall.  Of COURSE it should be treated as potential abuse...this little one is only 4-weeks old.  What insane piece of human waste could do this to a child?  I can only wait patiently to see how this will turn out.  But I predict, somehow, that the law will be more in the interest of the criminal versus the well being of the child.  Let's hope I'm wrong.

Update:  The infant in the last story is actually 4-months old, but it doesn't change the fact that she was abused.  Guess who is charged?  The baby's "mom" whose name is Anna Mis-Guiterrez.  A mother, breaking her four-month-old little girl's legs.  What did this innocent little girl do to deseve it?  Nothing.  Will this woman, should she be convicted, get a just sentence?  Sure hope so.

This Mother's Rage...Not Quite Contained

So my hubby pointed me over to a post Howie has up at The Jawa Report.  You can see that post here, but I have a few thoughts as well.  Be prepared to be upset, as I was.

MULTAN, Pakistan - Nazir Ahmed appears calm and unrepentant as he recounts how he slit the throats of his three young daughters and their 25-year old stepsister to salvage his family's "honor" — a crime that shocked Pakistan.

Honor, blemished by the idea that his step-daughter committed adultery.  And because of that, the other three girls had to be eliminated because they would likely do the same thing.

Bibi recounted how she was woken by a shriek as Ahmed put his hand to the mouth of his stepdaughter Muqadas and cut her throat with a machete. Bibi looked helplessly on from the corner of the room as he then killed the three girls — Bano, 8, Sumaira, 7, and Humaira, 4 — pausing between the slayings to brandish the bloodstained knife at his wife, warning her not to intervene or raise alarm.

"I was shivering with fear. I did not know how to save my daughters," Bibi, sobbing, told AP by phone from the village. "I begged my husband to spare my daughters but he said, 'If you make a noise, I will kill you.'"

"The whole night the bodies of my daughters lay in front of me," she said.

The next morning, Ahmed was arrested.

Speaking to AP in the back of police pickup truck late Tuesday as he was shifted to a prison in the city of Multan, Ahmed showed no contrition. Appearing disheveled but composed, he said he killed Muqadas because she had committed adultery, and his daughters because he didn't want them to do the same when they grew up.

He said he bought a butcher's knife and a machete after midday prayers on Friday and hid them in the house where he carried out the killings.

"I thought the younger girls would do what their eldest sister had done, so they should be eliminated," he said, his hands cuffed, his face unshaven. "We are poor people and we have nothing else to protect but our honor."

And he has no remorse other than the fact that he didn't kill his step-daughter's alleged lover, too.  I found it interesting that he made the choice to buy the butcher's knife and machete after his midday prayers.  You cannot tell me that what is taught in his religion had no influence whatsoever on his choice to slay his female children.  Ah, but Islam is a religion of peace, right?

All of this angers me to the point of wanting to catch a plane and making sure this man never sees sunlight again.  But as a mother, what took me down the path further is the fact that this mother sat and watched her girls get slaughtered without putting up a fight for them.  First of all, I'd give my life for my kids...that's just the way it is.  Aside from raising them, feeding them and clothing them, I need to protect them from harm.  And how could I live with myself knowing that I stood there and watched him do it?  I wouldn't *want* to live with myself knowing that.  I would have no choice but to stand in the way of this man and let him kill me if it meant that I could save even one of them from death.  Sure she was scared - I would be, too.  But to stand by and do nothing?  That's just wrong.

Honor killings?  Bah.  This man has no honor.  He is a vile, disgusting pig of a living organism.  I can't even call him human.  Howie said it best "If Pakistan does not give this man the firing squad, then they are a nation of cowards as well."

Oh, Tookie!

[Serious part of this post starts here]

I'm for the death penalty, even when death row inmates "turn their life around" or "change their life to do good" and so on.  Key word in both of those phrases?  LIFE.  Do Tookie's victims have the opportunity to live their lives?  No...he decided to take that away from them.  So....his punishment will fit the crimes he commited, no matter the "good things" he has done since then.  It took him to get caught and convicted to change - if he had gotten away with his crimes, he'd probably either be dead already or still out there murdering people.  His "change of heart" won't give back the lives of those he killed.

[Serious part of this post ends here]

So, in true conservative, eeeeeevil fashion, and because my hubby got a song in my head that I now can't get out, I decided to write some lyrics befitting of this occasion, sung to the tune of "Hey Mickey!" (oh...and don't think I'm alone....check out this and this and this and this...and there's more where that came from!)

She Doesn't Need a Trial

...just let me have 5 damn minutes with her as pissed as I am right now.

BOGALUSA, La. -- A mother was booked on a charge of first-degree murder for allegedly placing her 3-month-old son in a clothes dryer and turning it on.

The infant had third-degree burns over 50 percent of his body and suffered blunt-force trauma to the head, the St. Tammany Parish coroner said.

This non-parent murderer, Lakeisha Adams, also has a 1 year old child that the state had to remove from the home and from custody.  This monster tried to tell police at first that someone else had violently murdered her 3-month old.

If convicted, Adams faces death by injection or a life sentence. The first-degree murder charge is mandatory under Louisiana law because the victim was under age 12.

I know everyone is entitled to a fair trial, but when she admits that she did it, tries to get out of it, and the life of another child was at risk, I would much rather see a one-liner in the news stating "Since she confessed, she has been sentenced to death and justice will be carried out at sunset today."  What a waste of time and energy to go through a trial for such a disgusting act.
