...just when I think I Can't Be Any More Appalled

Just when I think I've had a bad day, just when I think that I should go to bed and avoid life until tomorrow, I have to read this:

CLARENDON HILLS, Ill. -- An Illinois man accused of choking his 8-year-old daughter, stabbing her and attempting to drown her has been charged with her murder.

Neil Lofquist, 40, was ordered jailed without bond Tuesday.

Do you want to know what this evil human being did to his own daughter, all of eight years old? You likely do not want to know, but I need to tell you anyway.

Prosecutors said Lofquist attempted to strangle his daughter in her bedroom late Sunday while his wife was downstairs and his son was in bed. He then moved the girl to the bathroom, where he attempted to drown her in the toilet and stabbed her in the neck, prosecutors alleged.

And then the "poor guy" went to the hospital to attend *his* wounds. Then, and only then, did authorities get notified, who went to the home and couldn't revive the girl.

Hug your kids at least twice tonight and be thankful this bastard is behind bars.

Give Me a Terrorist and I'll Raise You A Traitor

Whew....is it just me, or does 24 need a warning message for those with heart conditions? Tonight was no exception!

For all the dirt, check out Blogs4Bauer, for my high level thoughts, read on!

I *KNEW* Audrey was innocent, but she slept with Jack, so she must be tortured! Oh, and what's with the tongue action. Wasn't she just kinda tortured?

That scummy girl from Section 5. She better not go after Chiggy Killer! I think Chloe should touch her on the shoulder. Whatever.will.she.do?

What does Wayne Palmer know? Why is it the assistant to the First Lady that knows stuff? It can't be the first lady, so the people that girl are closest to are Mike Novak (my number one choice for traitor...wouldn't be the first time, eh?), the VEEP (he's evil...I just know it) or both. I don't think President Weasel is even capable of being part of such a big scheme. He can barely sign his name without crying. Wayne...shed some light. You gotta do it for Davey, do it for Davey! This plot line is getting very interesting! And Aaron....dayum, he kicked some butt just like Vinnie said he would!

...and why wasn't Kim in that room at the natural gas distribution site? Oh, never mind...just a small wish of mine. Heh.

The Department of Homeland Security. I'm looking forward to Chiggy Killer's all out assult on those who are all that are unholy and wrong. At least on 24. Now, if they could protect our borders with the same zeal they go after Audrey...Jack...CTU. Heh. Oh yeah, this is just TV.

I hate waiting a whole week for the next episiode. Just hate it. But I LOVE Monday nights!

Children Shouldn't Have to Suffer Like This...

Over at Signal 94 is a story that articulates why some people should not be parents. Be prepared to want to lock and load and take a trip to NY.

"The police chief said it was one of the worst cases of child abuse his department has seen."

No emotions, no feelings, just a robot-like attention to duty and detail. Take photos, collect and bag the evidence, type the affidavits and write the reports.

"The officers were horrified," Nichols said Friday. "The doctors described the boy as dangerously malnourished and showing signs of starvation. If this neglect had continued, he could have died."

Because if you don't you're gonna kill some asshole.

Police also found an 11-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy in the home. Like their younger brother, Nichols said, both suffered from malnourishment and neglect.

And then there's those who just don't care...

"Christina Stevens, who lived next door in the same two-family house for several months last year, said the 5-year-old boy next door looked as though he were 10 to 12 months old. Stevens said she called Cortland County child protective services workers at least three times last year about the family."

...and yet another case of the CPS not responding timely when they should have helped those kids. I couldn't have put it any better than sig, but to have to write about this kind of tragedy is virtually a sin.

Hee Haw!

I grew up in a household full of country music, and shows like "The Osmonds" and "Solid Gold." One show I clearly remember gracing the television regularly was "Hee Haw."

Washington - Buck Owens, who popularized country music in the United States with a string of 1960s hits and a long-running television show, died Saturday, associates said. He was 76.

Owens' family said he died in his sleep at his home in Bakersfield, California, according to the website of a concert hall and restaurant he owned. The cause of death was not immediately known.

hee haw.bmp

Now, with shows like Hee Haw, one gains useless, non-disposing information. Like these lyrics from a Hee Haw song:

Where, oh where are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over and I thought I found true love...
But you met another and PHPPPHT you were gone.

G'night, Buck!

Grow.A.Brain

These people need to get a clue...

OMAHA, Neb. -- Police cited two parents for child neglect after discovering two infants left alone in an unlocked vehicle.

It's bad enough they were left in the car, but it was unlocked. It's bad enough that they were left in an unlocked car, but one was a year old and the other 2-months old.

The father of the children returned about 35 minutes later and told the officer that he was visiting the children's mother in her dorm.

Thirty five minutes later. The couple were cited with child neglect. I suspect dear ole "Dad" got right back in the car, with those little ones, and drove home. Wonder if he forgot them in his unlocked car in the driveway?

The Lost and Found

The lost...

MILWAUKEE — Police expanded their search for two missing boys to a 100-square-block area and announced a $17,000 reward as they began a fifth day with no substantial leads into the youngsters' disappearance.

"We absolutely don't have any information about where they would be and why they would leave of their own accord," police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said at a news conference late Thursday morning. "We just simply don't know where they are."

Purvis Virginia Parker, 11, and his 12-year-old pal Quadrevion Henning aren't the type to have wandered away, their families said. Purvis is a quiet boy who dreams of becoming an artist, and Quadrevion has a stack of honors from his school for good behavior and attendance.

These boys sure don't seem to fit the profile of runaways. I hope no harm has come to them!

The Found...

SELMER, Tenn. — The family of a slain Tennessee minister was found safe Thursday night in Orange Beach, Ala., the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.

Authorities were looking for Mary Winkler and her three children — Breanna, 1; Mary Alice, 6; and Patricia, 8 — who had been missing since church members found her husband, 31-year-old Matthew Winkler, shot to death in his parsonage.

Orange Beach police spotted the family's Toyota van stopped on the side of the road and pulled over to help around 7:30 p.m. CST.

Mary Winkler and her daughters were in the van and in good physical condition, and no one else was with them when they were stopped, said TBI spokeswoman Jennifer Johnson. Authorities started questioning her Thursday night.

The mom is being questioned, but she is not under arrest. I hope, for the sake of the children, that the mom isn't involved. Losing one parent is hard enough, but to lose one to the other would be unthinkable. There will certainly be more to come in this story. I'm happy they were found safe! From what I've read of Minister Winkler, he will be sorely missed by many. What a tragedy for his family and the community.

UPDATE: So the wife/mom confessed to killing her husband/father of the children. Wow....what a shame.

TV Exhausts Me!

Between Sunday and Monday nights, by the time 10:00pm on Monday night comes along, I'm exhausted.

We watch The Sopranos on Sunday nights. What the hell is going on? Argggggh...Tony's my favorite character and he's laying there on a vent with a crater in his abdomen. He's not supposed to survive. I'm on AJ's side. Ain't no gunshot wound gonna take away our Tony, dammit! Damn, Junior. You're lucky it's a bit hard to get to you, or you'd be lying feet up somewhere.

...and 24. Dayum. I can't believe Tony's really dead, but that's the magic of this show - it certainly keeps things interesting. The previews drive me crazy. It's so hard to wait a whole week between episodes. Was the terrorist chick lying about Audrey Rains? I can't help but wonder because she'd have had to play it up to dear old dad when they were being held captive! But if she was, I put her right up there with Nina. If she is innocent, it's definitely a part of something beyond my comprehension. Oh well, it's meant to entertain, right. I guess I'll just have to wait until next week, dammit.

In the mean time, it's time to put on the fuzzy slippers and sleep pants while staring at the inches of snowfall outside. Nebraska welcomes spring. Yay, spring!

Parents of Caged Kids Lose Permanent Custody

I've been following the story of the parents who kept their adopted kids in cages to "protect them" from their special needs conditions.

NORWALK, Ohio — A couple charged with abuse for forcing some of their 11 adopted children to sleep in cages were stripped of custody Monday, six months after a social worker discovered the enclosures.

Juvenile Judge Timothy Cardwell said there was a good chance Michael and Sharen Gravelle would mistreat the children again, citing a history of sexual abuse allegations against the father.

They, of course, will appeal the decision because they love their kids and truly do not feel that they abused them and that the cages were a good and necessary thing. I had hoped by now they realized they were in over their heads and the best thing for the kids would be to get them to families that can focus on fully addressing their conditions. Unfortunately that isn't the case. Hopefully the review of the appeal will yield the same common sense outcome, if nothing else for the sake of the kids.

Evil on Earth

This story comes by way of The Rott, yet another story of pure evil involving yet another sick bastard who thinks it is okay to abuse, then murder a child (Misha put together some excellent thoughts on the whole thing). My hubby knows this stuff gets me wound tight, but in this case I was actually going to avoid posting on it all together as there isn't much else that can be said but "fry the bastard." But as I stewed on it, I feel that isn't entirely true. Read on, especially if you are polishing your hand gun and live in Ohio:

WAYNESBURG - A Canton man has been charged with the rape and murder of a 7-month-old infant he was baby-sitting.

Police said Henry A. Sunderman, 32, of 3117 Tuscarawas St. W, Apt. A-3, in Canton, raped and killed his niece, Zoey Sunderman, on Friday. Sunderman was baby-sitting the girl, her two sisters and a brother.

Zoey was the youngest.

This bastard *raped* a 7-month-old baby...his NIECE. While 3 other children were present!!!

She was pronounced dead at Akron Children’s Hospital at 2:02 p.m. Friday. The Summit County medical examiner was doing an autopsy Saturday; it said the case was under investigation and did not release a cause of death. But Stark County Jail records said Sunderman admitted he had penetrated the baby’s anus with his finger, “causing severe tearing and trauma, resulting in the death of the victim.”

Amazingly enough, it was the rat bastard of a child molester who decided to call an ambulance, but it was too late. This little one was barely crawling, maybe standing and now she's gone.

I go back to my rants of posts past. Yeah, "Uncle" Henry admitted to doing this awful thing to this baby. But why would the mother of these children think it is okay to leave her darling children to babysit him when he has a criminal record including crimes of drunk driving, menacing, criminal damaging and endangering, domestic violence and solicitation charges (also five convictions for disorderly conduct by intoxication)? Just his record on intoxication would be enough for me to stay home or find another sitter. But throw in endangering and domestic violence and you've got your regular boogey man.

Don't misunderstand, I feel terrible that the mother lost her daughter and I cannot possibly fathom what she is going through because of her loss. But I can't help but think she knew this man was not the best caregiver for her children given his rap sheet. But she's apparently blinded to it as it seems to run in the family:

Court records show their father, Henry Sunderman’s brother, David, was sent to Lorain Correctional Institution on Feb. 27 for failing to comply with police and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a combination.

I can't help but wonder whether it's time for someone to get the rest of the kids out of that seemingly troubled situation and into a place that is safer.

For Uncle Henry? It's simple. Just before a full-on gunshot wound to the head, a nice, dull rusty knife to the man parts. This bastard doesn't deserve one more breath.

...an Affirmation of my Affiliation

I'm sure most of you have heard about the website that was shut down because there was "molestation on demand" and 27 were charged with crimes relating to the site.

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) -- An Internet chat room that streamed video of live child molestations has been shut down and 27 people have been charged with online child pornography offenses, federal authorities said Wednesday.

Justice Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials still are looking for one suspect after an undercover sting operation shut down a Web site called "Kiddypics & Kiddyvids."

No one has to read the rest of the article to know how vile and disgusting anyone associated with this filth has to be, but let me paint you a picture.

The indictment states that [Gregory J.] Sweezer sent two videos to an undercover law enforcement officer. Both videos depict a man molesting a girl younger than 12, the indictment states. Sweezer is also accused of distributing a video, the title of which suggests it contains images of a 7-year-old being molested.

That's not all - read the article if you can.

But then you hear about these sleezebags who think that the timing of these arrests is all too "convenient" given GWB's lower approval ratings. ...and I quote (no, this really is a quote, as ridiculous as it may sound):

Call me cynical, but this kind of thing could occur any day of the week and yet just when asshole's numbers are at their lowest, a "morals" story appears for the sheep.

Who the hell does this idiot think s/he is fooling? What does this have to do with *anything* like that? Yes, this type of shit goes on every day. There are sick, twisted child-molesting perverted assholes who go online with their recordings and fucked-up stories of the pleasure they have in raping little girls and boys. *THAT* happens every day. And then there are law enforcement officials who spend their blood, sweat and tears chasing after these fuckers who mask their IPs, change their URLs, demand information from people and participation from them in an attempt to ascertain whether they are a pervert or a law enforcement official before vomiting their filth all over perverts' computer screens across the world. To try and call this some kind of politically-motivated "stunt" is nothing more than a slap to the face of those law enforcement officials who would do anything to bust these bastards. Shameful, that's what it is. Shameful.

Yes, I am a Woman!

My lady friends over at The Cotillion have a number of posts up relating to us wimmin-folk and our body parts, and some women's altering of said body parts. I personally got to thinking that over the last few decades, women haven't just been altering their parts, but they have truly tried to change what a "woman" really is. So, at the risk of putting myself out there, I do have an opinion on this. And not one that many may like or agree with.

I am a woman. All my life I've had boobs and a vagina (mind you, never altered with surgery but altered somewhat with age!). Once I got older, I got a bitchy attitude once a month, I bled thanks to Eve's whole Adam scandal, and I have bought a million dollars worth of tampons, pads, and other various items I try not to ask my husband to buy for me. I carried two babies in my womb, and I can cry watching a game show, as long as the contestant tells us their winnings are paying for their child's cleft palate surgery (don't ask, but it did happen). I like reading People Magazine, and In Touch, and Star, but will pick up a nice novel if I could have more than a 30 minute attention span at any given time. And some times, even if I've never seen any Oscar nominated movies, I can still tune into the damned awards show.

My husband would say I drive like a woman, but I would have to turn around and thank him for the compliment. I can scream and cheer along with any man watching a Husker football game, but I can watch Rachael Ray and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition right after the game. Anyone who reads my blog knows my addiction to 24, and it ain't just cause Jack Bauer is hot. I'm also in touch with my feminine side and I'm proud of it.

I love being female, and that we are different than men. I like the fact that I can wear lots of diamonds, and that hubby bought them for me. I love it when he opens the car door. I love it when he protects me (he's got guns, yanno!). I love to shop...especially for pretty kitchen items or purses, or clothes, especially for my little girl. I love the fact that I could get away with owning a pink car, if I really wanted to. And I like chick flicks. I really do!

Do I think some version of women's lib was needed? Absolutely. I value my right to vote. I do not think men are *better* than women - merely different. I want my man to take care of me, but don't want him to treat me like I'm an idiot. I can do more than clean house, be pregnant and cook. I hold a pretty high position at the company I work for - not because I'm a man or a woman, but because I'm good at what I do. I capitalize on those things that I do well, I work hard, and I try to inspire others to do the same. I'm loyal, I believe in the organization I work for and know that each day I can make a difference to people around me if I try. But in the course of all of that, I don't make a big stink about being a woman, even though other women around me think I should. In the grand scheme of things, my employer can't write "Merri is great because she's a chick" because they'd get sued up one side and down the other (albeit not by me). So I let my work stand on its own merit and it gets recognized.

There are things that really bother me about how some women have approached women's lib, women's rights, etc. I like my bra - don't make me burn it, especially that nice lacy number in black.

Let me vote, but know that I'll vote to to change abortion laws, too. I think the father of a baby should have equal say in whether a pregnancy should end, even if the baby is "housed" in my body. A baby is not a medical condition and it isn't the Immaculate Conception. It took a man and myself to create this human life and it shouldn't be just my decision to murder that human life by myself.

Sure, let me be in combat, but I better be able to meet the same standards the fellow in the next row over has to meet in order for me to get there - and if I can't meet those standards, I probably shouldn't be standing next to him holding the same rifle and the same backpack (okay...so whatever they call them...I ain't in the military so pardon my lack of terminology!). It doesn't make me weak, I'm not discriminated against....God made me different for a reason. In all of that, no one says I'm less intelligent, no one says I'm not a solid contributor to society. If I want equal rights, by God I've got it! But truly make it equal - don't give me special priviledges just because of my appendages or the lack thereof.

In the meantime, Kim Gandy, Gloria Steinem and the rest of the Useful Idiots of modern day feminism can kiss my lace covered, perfumed, flower and diamond loving, Santoku knife wielding ass.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Comments Section

Last evening, LGF opened up the register to comment, and I managed to slip in. Normally, I just read the posts and skip the comments, now I'm glad I have an excuse to go in. That's where I found this.

From MEMRI:

The Last Warning To The American People

"Despite the fact that the New York, Washington, Madrid, and Londonexpeditions have been carried out a few years back. The search for clues on how they were conducted in such a successful manner is still going on and reports upon reports are still being written about them. However, the next expedition might not find someone who can provide analysis for. The top intellects, strategists, and analysts, will be totally clueless as to how to explain what occurred. Let me also inform you that we are talking about two operations, not one. The scale of one of them is larger than the other but both are large and significant. However, we will start with the smaller, and temporarily put the larger on hold to see how serious the Americans are about their lives. Should you value your own life and security, accept Muslims’ demands, but if you shall prefer death (over giving in to Muslims’ demands). Then, we, by the grace of Allah, are the best in bringing it (death) to your door steps.

Follow the link to read it all.

I did a Google News search and there is none, zero, mention of this in the media. The only other two hits I got were the SITE Institute and World Net Daily.

Whether this is a legitimate threat, or some jackoff spouting off, we need to get the word out anyway.

Thanks for keeping us informed, media.

Unbelievable

People can be unbelievably stupid sometimes...and some are just plain sick and disgusting.

CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland woman is accused of dragging her two daughters back inside their burning home after the girls ran to a neighbor for help.

Authorities said the woman had set the fire herself.

The girls, ages 8 and 12, told investigators their mother was upset because the older girl had a boyfriend. The mother allegedly interrogated the girl while applying lighted incense to child's neck, chest, rectum and inside her mouth, according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason.

Investigators said the woman set the house on fire when she didn't get answers, and when the girls ran out, she forced them kicking and screaming back inside the burning house.

Thank God a neighbor happened along and pulled them to safety. The catch - this happened a year ago - it's taken Cleveland authorities a year to investigate the blaze. And guess what? Laquana O'Neal, the "mom" has not yet been arrested as of Thursday, even though prosecutors say she faces multiple charges including aggravated arson, felonious assult, rape and gross sexual imposition.

The article doesn't say what happened to the children, but I hope and pray they aren't with *that* excuse of a human being. My God, she was willing to torch her own home and burn her children as punishment for the oldest apparently having a boyfriend. I can't imagine what she would have done if her oldest daughter came home and said she was pregnant!

Anyhoo...here is the last part of the article:

...O’Neal was diagnosed with a mental condition.

Can anyone say DUH? Of course she has a mental condition. Anyone who commits the acts that she did, including almost murdering her own children isn't in their right mind. Leave it up to the media to keep us informed, and on the edge of our seats.

Bull S***

So three university students set fire to nine Alabama churches and the only defense they can come up with was that it was a 'joke' that got 'out of hand?'

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Three students have been arrested in connection with a string of church fires in Alabama.

Federal agents said Wednesday the college students accused in a string of Alabama church arsons first set the fires as "a joke."

Benjamin Nathan Moseley, 19 and Russell Lee DuBusk Jr. are students at Birmingham Southern College, and were arrested on campus, according to WVTM-TV in Birmingham.

A spokesman for the college said the school had been informed of the investigation by authorities, and had been cooperating with officials from the church fire task force.

The third man, Matthew Lee Cloyd, was arrested by authorities at an undisclosed location late Wednesday morning. Cloyd is a student attending the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

That's such bullshit. Give me a break.

Two Hours of '24'

Oh my. Two hours of 24 tonight...and things were absolutely nuts! I couldn't swear by it, but I think I had a couple of heart palpitations. No, really...

I can't believe that President Weaselboy would sell out his wife - telling a high ranking RUSSIAN official that she was mental. I'm sure it's all for the sake of security. I think that'll come back to bite him in the butt later.

Whose that VP anyway? Who does he think he is? When is the *real* president ever going to wake up from his coma....or did I miss something between the crash and now? We need someone who can *REALLY* be in charge.

Holy crap - Jack shot the evil corporate guy's wife in the leg! And RoboCop didn't care. What a jerk. I bet he never got her that ring she wanted for Christmas either. Bastard! But did you see the look on his face when he realized Jack was alive....again? Woo hoo!

Wow...the chick from Pulp Fiction and her slimy boyfriend got whacked. Who would have ever thought they'd get $20k for a keycard...they must have been on drugs or something...

Okay - so Aaron came in to see the first lady - did she hand him something? Or was she really trying to get some, um, comfort from him? Leave it up to Mike to interrupt. But he does get the first lady and her man slave back together. Hopefully she can kick some ass in high places (sooper sekrit hint...VEEP...get RID of that guy!).

Good to see Tony up and about....sad to see him learn about Michelle. Poor guy! But it's stuff like this that gets him motivated to beat the crap out of people. I see him being a major player....and soon!

Kim's back....and she brought Ponyboy with her. Dayum....he needs to put on a few pounds, dye his hair lighter brown and get rid of the goatee. Or put a bag over his head? I can't believe I had a crush on that guy back in 8th grade. Or that Kim's dating him. Chase was much more of a catch, but apparently he didn't know how to talk to a woman. This guy had to get a degree to do just that. All the guys are drooling about Kim, and I'm sure they didn't even see Ponyboy. Now they gotta do it for Jackky...ahem.

Sam-not-so-wise finally got up the nerve to tell the man that his Pulp Fiction druggie of a sister had stolen his CTU access card. But guess what...too late. What a stupid idiot. Hey, at least 60% of CTU was saved. 40% of their team was lost, and half of that was Edgar. It was kind of good to see Chloe cry. She really does have a heart...or was that just her allergies kicking in?

Favorite line from Chloe (when talking to Kim about Jack) "...so cut him some slack." HA! That's our girl Chloe!

I hate that Edgar died....all because he was checking on the sexy girl that was being written off the show. Edgar - priorities, priorities.

Wow....this was amazing, but it looks like I'll need to get some heart medication for the next one...even the previews had my heart skipping beats - and it wasn't even because Jack looks especially hot. Heh.

He Truly Is a Monster

Charles Cullen was sentenced today to eleven consecutive life terms.

...one of the most prolific killers the U.S. health care industry has ever seen — escaped the death penalty after making a deal with prosecutors to tell them which patients he killed with hard-to-detect drug injections.

It's fascinating that a man who claims to have killed close to 40 people was sitting in front of the courtroom with a bulletproof vest on.

Cullen has admitted to using lethal doses of medications — usually the heart medication digoxin — to kill patients. He told authorities when he was arrested in 2003 that he killed "very sick" patients, and described the slayings as mercy killings.

Many of the deaths were not recognized as murders at the time, in part because many of the victims were old or sickly. Cullen was finally caught after officials at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville began noticing that patients who died or nearly did had unusually high levels of digoxin in their bodies.

Cullen agreed to help investigators solve his killings. In exchange, prosecutors in all seven counties where he worked agreed not to seek the death penalty.

Because of the frailties of his memory and imprecise — and in some cases, destroyed — medical records, it is unclear whether authorities have identified all of his victims. Investigations remain open in two New Jersey counties.

It's such a shame that the victims and their families have had to suffer through this disgusting man's idea of playing God. Many of the victims' family members wish that he could die the way his victims died - by lethal injection. No matter how much I'd like to see the same thing, I can't help but be thankful this exuse for a human being won't be able to inflict harm on anyone else.

The alleged victim told authorities that she was walking home late Saturday when four men grabbed her and carried her into an apartment.

The alleged rape took place in an apartment where Disney houses employees from their international programs.

Hmmm....and does one have to wonder who may have been at the heart of this diabolical scheme (emphasis mine, of course)?

Charges haven't been filed against the four French suspects who are employees of Disney's International Program. Authorities said the four are cooperating with investigators and aren't considered a flight risk.

Oui.
