It Takes a Village, People!

Oh, a day in the post-famous life of a person not so famous, really:

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The "cop" from the original Village People has been arrested again.

Victor Edward Willis was back in court Monday in California. The judge decided there's enough evidence for him to stand trial on drug charges.

He's got three cases pending, all of which involve drugs. He failed to show up twice for a sentencing hearing last December.

Students Disciplined for Wearing American Flag Shirts to School

Suspended, even! And one was wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt with a flag in the background! Has this country gone insane?

DENVER -- Several students at a Denver-area middle school have been disciplined for wearing shirts that depict the American flag -- an act that is in direct violation of the public school's recent ban on all flags, depictions of flags, or flag colors on student clothing.

One of the students at Shaw Heights Middle School said he was suspended for wearing a D.A.R.E. program shirt with a flag behind the logo. Another student said she was sent home for wearing a Marine Corps shirt. Another student told reporters that she was told to turn her Marine Corps shirt inside out and when she did and then later turned it back the right way, she was suspended.

All shirts with flags are banned due to the "immigration debate." Welcome to Middle School in middle America.

The schools fly the American flag in the classrooms and other areas.

....and I'm off to get ready for work. ...and to find one of my American flag shirts.

Bull S***

So three university students set fire to nine Alabama churches and the only defense they can come up with was that it was a 'joke' that got 'out of hand?'

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Three students have been arrested in connection with a string of church fires in Alabama.

Federal agents said Wednesday the college students accused in a string of Alabama church arsons first set the fires as "a joke."

Benjamin Nathan Moseley, 19 and Russell Lee DuBusk Jr. are students at Birmingham Southern College, and were arrested on campus, according to WVTM-TV in Birmingham.

A spokesman for the college said the school had been informed of the investigation by authorities, and had been cooperating with officials from the church fire task force.

The third man, Matthew Lee Cloyd, was arrested by authorities at an undisclosed location late Wednesday morning. Cloyd is a student attending the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

That's such bullshit. Give me a break.

Disgusting

It is stuff like this that infuriates me.

OMAHA, Neb. -- Two wanted men are in custody after they were caught posing as Hurricane Katrina victims in Nebraska this week.

Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said the men were arrested after they claimed to be evacuees and tried to get aid at a state Health and Human Services office in Omaha earlier this week.

These idiots weren't even from New Orleans - they are residents of Omaha.

The patrol discovered that one man faced an arrest warrant for failure to appear in a felony forgery case. The other man faced a felony warrant for the unauthorized use of a financial transaction device.

Guess you can add "dumbass, stupid opportunist" to the list of charges as well.  Disgusting.

Poster Child for Tree Huggers Everywhere

Whatever you do, don't trim her trees!!

FREMONT, Calif. (AP) - A woman incensed at utility tree trimmers was arrested after allegedly chasing workers with a chain saw and twisting the fingers of an arresting officer, police said.

Diane Kaiser, 57, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, theft and resisting arrest. She posted bail and was released.

She had been notified that workers would be coming to trim trees away from her powerlines.  When the workers knocked on her door and she didn't answer, they proceeded to start the work.  She apparently didn't like that too much.

When workers walked to the back of the house, Kaiser allegedly ran from the home cursing and screaming.

She then picked up rocks and began throwing them at the workers, according to police reports.

Kaiser then allegedly picked up a tree trimmer's chain saw and pointed it at the workers, causing three to flee and call police. A fourth worker climbed a tree to escape.

Tree huggers everywhere are probably applauding this woman, honoring her as the Cindy Sheehan of vegetation!

Oh...tree workers?  If you are ever in Nebraska, we have a tree that we want REMOVED.  Come on by, we'll even serve you beer and food.

No Wonder They Go Postal...

Okay...no one should blame anyone working for the post office for being a bit stressed out.  First of all, they have to deal with their management staff, which ain't any walk in the park.  And then they have to deal with us, the crazed public...

HOUMA, La. (AP) - A mail carrier got bitten - by a barking man, police said.

Mark D. Plumb, 20, of Butler, Mo., was arrested and charged with simple battery Wednesday after he ran barking from a house and bit the letter carrier on the shoulder, police spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis said.

This guy says he bit the carrier as a joke.  Police say he doesn't have a record or history of mental illness.  Um, well, now he does.

What a whack job.  Sheesh!  Now I know why carriers carry pepper spray...it ain't for the dogs!

Oh, the Irony!

Two employees of PETA dumping animals in a trash bin?  Wow - now that's loaded with irony!

AHOSKIE, N.C.  — Two employees of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have been charged with animal cruelty after dumping dead dogs and cats in a shopping center garbage bin, police said.

Investigators staked out the bin after discovering that dead animals had been dumped there every Wednesday for the past four weeks, Ahoskie police said in a prepared statement Thursday.

PETA has scheduled a news conference for Friday in Norfolk, Va., where the group is based.

Police found 18 dead animals in the bin and 13 more in a van registered to PETA. The animals were from animal shelters in Northampton and Bertie counties, police said.

The two were picking up animals to be brought back to PETA headquarters for euthanization, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said Thursday. Neither police nor PETA offered any theory on why the animals might have been dumped.

Police charged Andrew Benjamin Cook, 24, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, of Norfolk, Va., each with 31 felony counts of animal cruelty and eight misdemeanor counts of illegal disposal of dead animals. They were released on bond and an initial court date was set for Friday.

Hinkle has been suspended, but Cook continues to work for PETA, Newkirk said.

Hmmmm....what an "interesting" statement Newkirk has about all of this:

Newkirk said she doubted Hinkle had ever been cruel to an animal and said if the animals were placed in the bin, "We will be appalled."

More to come, I'm sure!  One question, though, and please note the deep level of sarcasm here:  So, if PETA is supposed to be a group of animal rights wackos, WHY were they picking up animals to be euthanized?  I thought they wanted animals to live?!?!?!  (see the dripping sarcasm?  It's oozing everywhere!)

Dumb & Dumber Criminals

So things have been pretty heavy on my site the last couple of days so I thought I'd lighten up a little bit and blog on some stupid, dumb ass criminals - I hope you get a laugh out of them like I did!

Cops Break Up Drug Deal Next to Squad Car

I can't help but post this whole article.  What a couple of idiots!

ELKHART, Ind. (AP) - Police Cpl. Mike Swygart said he did not believe it at first when someone told him two men were making a drug deal next to his patrol car. Swygart said he was on a break having a cup of coffee Friday night when a person told him what was going on outside.

"I laughed because I thought no one would be so foolish as to handle illegal drugs next to a police car," Swygart wrote in his report. "He looked at me and told me that he was not joking."

Swygart walked outside and spotted two men in a car parked next to the squad car, holding what appeared to be bags of marijuana.

Gawd - that's priceless!

"I opened the passenger side door and shouted, 'Police, don't move!' Both suspects dropped the baggies and let them fall on the front seat," he said.

Officers detained the two men and reported seizing two small bags of marijuana as well as some drug paraphernalia and pills.

That'll be a fun one for him to report back at the station!

Gramma, 911 Isn't the Number for Dominoes!

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - An 86-year-old woman has been sent to jail after police said she called 911 dispatchers 20 times in a little more than a half-hour to complain about a pizza parlor. Dorothy Densmore remained in jail Tuesday charged with misusing the 911 system, a jail spokeswoman said.

Gramma was just a BIT upset about her pizza, apparently!

It's unusual for someone to face charges for nonemergency calls, Giannini said. But on Sunday, Densmore kept calling 911, even after she was told to stop, Giannini said.

When an officer arrived at her apartment, the 5-foot-tall, 98-pound woman attacked him, Giannini said. Densmore scratched him, kicked and bit his hand, she said.

Hmmmm...don't you think the officer's report conveniently left out "got my ass kicked by a 5-foot-tall, 98 pound, 86 year old gramma?"

Densmore is also charged with resisting a public officer and two counts of misusing the 911 system, jail records show.

Granny likes calling 911 and got into trouble previously for calling 911 10 times before stopping.  Apparently the Chinese food must have been too cold!

Drittsekk ("Dirtbag" in Norwegian)

OSLO, Norway (AP) - An enterprising if unscrupulous Norwegian found a way to turn a tidy profit on Oslo real estate by renting out a nice apartment in a popular part of town.

What the renters didn't know was that he had broken in to someone else's apartment and then rented it out to 11 different people, the national news media reported Tuesday.

Police said the 29-year-old, whose name was withheld, admitted breaking in to the apartment, and posting photographs of it on an Internet real estate site, asking for a bargain $780 a month in rent.

Ummm, Dude.  Internet = Public = YOU'LL GET CAUGHT!

Since such an apartment normally costs 35 percent more in Oslo, about 60 hopefuls flocked to the con man's showing.

Ummm, Dumb Ass.  Too Good to Be True = YOU'LL GET CAUGHT!

Eleven were so eager that they each paid a $2,340 deposit for a total of $25,780 transferred to the swindler's bank account.

Ummm, Dork. Yeah, YOU! Put Money In Own Bank Account that is Fraudulent = YOU'LL GET CAUGHT!

Ingrid Christensen, of the Oslo police, told Norway's largest newspaper, Verdens Gang, the money was found in the suspect's bank account and he would face fraud charges.

The real renter was traveling at the time of the showings, and has now changed all the locks.

There you have it.  Some real masterminds and some real whack jobs out there.  But we love to make fun of them, don't we?

Nooseweek

Out of Fox News:

One day after retracting a story that said U.S. interrogators desecrated the Koran , a top Newsweek editor acknowledged the magazine made "serious mistakes" but suggested to FOX News that no one would be fired over the incident.

Dan Klaidman, Nooseweek's Washington bureau chief is truly a piece of work.  Mr. Obvious states "Clearly there were mistakes made here."  REALLY?  That guy must have been born that smart!  But then further bullshit ensues when he says "It was in good faith, they were honest mistakes, and we are trying to be transparent about it."

You know, by Dumbass Dan's definition, murdering someone in cold blood is a "mistake" as well.  Whether it was "true" or not (and, gosh, we know it wasn't true...as that reporter probably did when they wrote it), reporting this story is negligent.  Their blatant negligence caused harm and death to many, not to mention an erosion of the progress we have made.  Oh, and good old Dan also said that people at the magazine "acted professionally."

Lastly, I have to say that I am SO SICK AND TIRED of hearing the liberals compare the actions of Newsweek to the President's decision to invade Iraq.  These asshat talking heads sat in their chairs on the news shows babbling that in both cases "faulty intelligence" was used and that Bush's "mistake" cost much more than Newsweek's.  How can there even be a comparison, especially when everyone knows it is impossible to use "Newsweek" and "intelligence" in the same sentence?  Seriously, though, George Bush's "mistake" has brought education to children who may have never seen the inside of a classroom otherwise.  George Bush's "mistake" has brought vaccinations to well over 3 million Iraqi children under the age of 5.  Oh, and George Bush's "mistake" has brought freedom to some 24 million people who would have otherwise had a life of fear and oppression.

This is what Newsweek's mistake has brought to Afghanistan:

Responsible reporting, isn't it?
